Ingredients

  • 1 cup fresh pineapple chunks
  • 1 ripe banana, frozen
  • 1 cup fresh baby spinach, packed
  • 1 tsp spirulina powder

Liquid & Boost

  • 1 cup coconut water
  • ½ lime, juiced
  • 1 tsp fresh ginger, grated
  • 4 ice cubes

Optional Garnish

  • 1 pineapple wedge and a pinch of lime zest per glass

Instructions

  1. Layer the blender. Add coconut water and lime juice first, then spinach, pineapple, frozen banana, grated ginger and ice. Sprinkle spirulina on top last.
  2. Blend smooth. Blend on high for 45–60 seconds until the smoothie is completely smooth, vibrant green and frothy with no visible spinach flecks.
  3. Check texture. If too thick, add a splash more coconut water and pulse briefly. For a thicker bowl-style, add 2 extra ice cubes and blend again.
  4. Serve fresh. Pour into two chilled glasses, garnish with a pineapple wedge and lime zest. Drink within 15 minutes for maximum enzyme activity.

Start with only 1 tsp spirulina — its earthy flavour is strong, and the pineapple plus banana are essential to mask it while keeping the smoothie drinkable.
